GARBAGE DISPOSAL

GARBAGE DISPOSAL

1. The owner shall not place, leave or permit to be placed or left in or upon the common elements any debris, refuse or garbage. Such debris, refuse or garbage shall be contained in properly sealed refuse bags and properly secured containers equipped with a locking lid to prevent mess, odours and disintegration, and shall be placed on the garbage pads designated for that purpose or other area or areas designated for the reception of garbage by the Board from time to time. One garbage container only may be kept under the rear steps, in the case of Level 1 units and on the balcony, in the case of Level 2 units. Newspapers, magazines, bottles, tin cans and such other items or objects as the Board may determine shall be placed in bins specifically designated for that purpose, if any.

2. Large items such as appliances, mattresses and furniture shall be removed from the premises and by contacting the City of Ottawa directly for disposal arrangements.
